TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint, or jaw joint)
Patients suffering from TMJ (temporo-mandibular joint, or jaw joint) dysfunction can exhibit a wide variety of head and neck symptoms beyond the usual popping, clicking, clenching and grinding. This dysfunction of the TMJ is medically defined as TMD (Temporo-mandibular Dysfunction). The diverse symptoms of this dysfunction may confuse not only the lay person, but also physicians and dentists as well. This can lead to misdiagnosis, and many times, lead TMJ/TMD patients to go from doctor to doctor in search of relief.
Examine the symptoms listed above. It may seem strange, but in many cases these debilitating symptoms can be caused by a poorly aligned jaw. If you are suffering from any of these, give us a call! Working together as a team with physicians and other health care professionals, we can effectively get you on a path to relief.
